Hi, I'm David Willhite, founder, owner and potter of Mossy Rock Pottery & Chocolates of Oregon.  It has been my unwavering vision to offer only the finest hand crafted products from our region.  All of our products are made in Oregon, so you won't find these products anywhere else!

Our Business

Mossy Rock Pottery & Chocolates of Oregon was born October 15th, 2009.  But the idea for the store was over 5 years in the making.

In 2003, I started recruiting artists and fine crafters to participate in a festival called the "Winter Art & Chocolate Festival", which takes place the second weekend of February each year in Brookings, Oregon.  Basically, the show was created to help artists make it through the long, soggy Oregon winter.

When you buy from Mossy Rock Pottery & Chocolates of Oregon, you help make Oregon a friendlier place for artists and hand-crafters.  We have over 15 artists and crafters who derive all or part of their income from what they make and sell.

Who We Are

David Willhite has been a south coast resident for over 23 years.  He graduated from Gold Beach High School with honors and later graduated from Southwestern Oregon Community College.

David produces around 2000 pots per year and is one of the only full-time professional potters on Oregon's southern coast.
